How do I handle Restoration exceptions and vendor work?

For office teams · Updated October 12, 2026

Use this when contents are missing, damaged, blocked, at a vendor, or need rework.

Flag an exception

  1. Open the restoration and find the lot in its department.
  2. Open the lot actions menu and choose Flag exception.
  3. Enter a short reason that explains the blocker.

Exception states

Flagged lots show a warning with a state such as Waiting on vendor, Missing, Damaged, Blocked, or Rework (failed QC). Open exceptions also count in the Needs you strip on the Restoration overview.

Resolve an exception

Press Mark reviewed on the flagged lot once the blocker is actually cleared. This clears the flag and lets the item proceed.

Send to a vendor

  1. Press Send to vendor on the restoration.
  2. Pick the vendor, plus an optional contact, work order reference, and capability.
  3. Select restoration lots and quantities, then set the sent date, expected return, and estimated cost.

Track vendor work

Sent quantities show as At vendor, and overdue returns appear in the Needs you strip.

Receive from a vendor

Press Receive from vendor, pick the vendor order, and enter returned or not-returned quantities against each lot. Set the actual return date and final cost, then press Receive vendor work.

NS and NR

Record non-salvageable or non-restorable quantities with a reason code and a short note. NS records roll up on the project Non-salvageable tab.
