How do I use the Labor Report?
For office teams · Updated October 26, 2026
Use this when you want to know where labor hours and cost went in a pay period.
Open it
Go to Team › Timesheets and choose the Labor Report tab. It is available to people who approve timesheets for an office, or who have Financials, Project Costing, or HR access.
Pick what to look at
- Use the period arrows to choose a pay period. The current one is marked OPEN.
- Narrow with Department or Customer.
- Turn on Show external workers to include outside labor.
- Click Export report CSV to download the numbers.
The headline numbers
Worked hours is the total time worked. Loaded labor cost adds your labor burden rate to wages, and needs financial access to see. Overtime shows OT hours and how many employees had them; it always covers the whole period, even when filters are on. On projects shows the share of hours spent on customer projects versus travel, shop, and admin time.
The breakdowns
By activity splits hours into kinds of work such as packout, cleaning, warehousing, and driving. By department shows hours per department. By customer / project lists each project's hours and cost. That cost feeds Project Profitability in Finance. PTO and holiday pay are counted separately and left out of the breakdowns.
If cost looks low
If no burden rate is set, the report shows gross wages. Set the Labor burden rate under Settings › Operations.
