How do I log a call, text, email, meeting or visit?
For office teams · Updated October 26, 2026
Use this right after you talk to, message or visit a CRM contact.
Log on the web
- Open the contact and choose + Log, or choose Log activity on a Today's Plan card.
- Pick the type: Note, Call, Text, Email, Meeting or Site Visit.
- Pick the Direction where asked, and the Outcome, such as Connected or Left Voicemail.
- Check When. A past date counts toward that day's goals, not today's.
- Add Notes.
- Under Follow-up, pick None, 3 days, Next week, 2 weeks or Pick date. Keep current appears when the contact already has a follow-up.
- Choose Save.
The suggested follow-up
Follow-up is preset from the outcome: a voicemail or no answer suggests 3 days, a connected call suggests next week, and a visit or meeting suggests 2 weeks. Change it if you know better. Choosing None clears an existing follow-up.
Logging for a colleague
If the form shows Logged by, you can pick the colleague who actually made the contact. The log becomes theirs, notes that you entered it, and earns no goal credit.
From a company
On a company, choose Log. With one contact it opens that contact; with several it asks which contact the log is for. Log stays off until the company has a contact.
On the phone
Use + Log on a contact, Log on a company or plan card, or Mark done in Follow-ups. The phone Log sheet offers Call, Text, Email, Visit, Meeting and Note with the same follow-up choices. With no signal it shows Will send when back online; the log is kept on the phone, shows Pending, and sends when you reconnect.
