How do I use the Finance hub?

For office teams · Updated October 12, 2026

Use this when reviewing the financial picture or working invoices, payer balances, and storage billing. Finance is one tabbed workspace, and the tabs you see depend on your financial permissions.

Overview

Your profit and loss picture. It charts billed versus collected versus approximate direct cost (labor, vendors, expenses) over the last 12 months, lists per project financials, and surfaces margin outliers and items needing attention. Billed figures come from tracked invoice records.

Project Costing

Live profit and loss per project, with labor and margin drill-downs.

Receivables

The invoice list, plus a Payers view that rolls balances up by payer. Track new invoice records, open an invoice to record payments, view the PDF, split billing across payers, and update collection status. Open balances live here.

Payers

Payers is a view inside Receivables. Switch to Payers, open a payer, and use Log a follow-up to capture a promise to pay and the next action, so collections work by relationship instead of invoice by invoice.

Storage

Storage lists every project with active storage, its paid-through date, and whether billing is behind or current. Open a project row to reach its Financials tab, where Generate storage invoice turns accrued storage into an invoice record.

Best practice

Work the Overview attention items and the Payers follow-ups weekly. Recording payments promptly keeps billed versus collected honest.
