What is the difference between a customer, project, and CRM company?

Use this when you are not sure where to enter information.

Customer

The person, household, or company your team is serving. Customer-level details stay true across claims: identity and contact information, property and temporary address, and customer notes.

Project

The claim or workstream for that customer. The Project tab holds the basics such as claim number and title, property information, the account team, the people on the claim, program and billing routing, and loss details. Events, financials, attachments including signed documents, and storage all hang off the project.

CRM company

A referral or business relationship, such as an adjuster, agent, carrier, property manager, plumber, or contractor. Open CRM from the sidebar to manage contacts, companies, follow-ups, and sales activity.

Best practice

Do not put claim-specific instructions on the customer profile. Put them on the project so the right instructions travel to scheduling, mobile, communications, and billing.
