How do I find a customer, claim, or project?
For everyone · Updated October 12, 2026
Use this when you need to answer: "Where is this customer, claim, or project?"
Steps
- Open Customers from the sidebar.
- Search by customer name, company, phone number, address, claim number, or project title.
- Open the customer record.
- Use the project workspace to switch between that customer's claims or projects.
- From the project, jump into Events, Communications, Tasks, Storage, Financials, Attachments, or Flares. Full Project Costing lives in the Finance hub.
Even faster
Press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on Mac) or select the search button to open Search pages and records. Type the customer, claim, or project name and open the match directly from anywhere in the app.
Best practice
Keep customer-level details on the person or property. Keep claim-specific details, routing, invoices, files, and restoration work on the project.
If you cannot find the record
Open the account button at the bottom of the sidebar and check the Office Filter first, since it can hide other offices. If the customer still does not appear, ask a manager to confirm your role has access to that office or customer.
