How do I find a customer, claim, or project?
For everyone · Updated October 26, 2026
Use this when you need to answer: "Where is this customer or project?"
Fastest path
Press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on Mac), or select Search pages and records at the top of the sidebar. Type a customer name, claim number, or project, and open the match directly. Results are grouped, for example Pages, Customers, Projects & Claims, Events, CRM, and Tasks, and only show what your role can open.
From the Customers list
- Open Customers from the sidebar.
- Choose My Customers or All Customers.
- Search by name, company, address, client, project reference, or phone.
- Open the customer.
- Use the project switcher in the header to move between that customer's projects, or pick All projects.
- Use the tabs, such as Events, Attachments, or Financials, to reach the work.
If you cannot find the record
Open the account button at the bottom of the sidebar and check the Office Filter first, since it can hide other offices. Then clear any search or filters on the page. If the customer still does not appear, ask a manager to confirm your role can see that office or customer.
On the phone
In the app, open More › Customers and use Search customers.
