How do I pause or resume cleaning a box?
For field crews · Updated October 26, 2026
Use this when your company tracks box cleaning in ContentsOps and you need to stop partway through a box.
The cleaning timer
When you start cleaning a box from the Scan tab, a timer bar shows Cleaning, the box, and the time so far. Tap Pause to stop the clock. A paused box shows Paused and a Resume button, and it never blocks other work.
Finish or stop
Tap the timer bar to open Finish cleaning. Pick where the cleaned contents go, such as Same box or Scan another box, and tap Complete cleaning, or tap Cleaned in place — no repack. Pause, I'll come back stops the clock without finishing. Exit cleaning stops the timer without marking anything clean.
When you leave
If you switch to other work while the timer runs, Today asks You're cleaning (the box): Pause and go, It's done, mark clean, or Keep cleaning. If you leave the warehouse with a box still running, the phone reminds you about 5 minutes later with Still cleaning (the box)? Tap it to pause at the time you left.
Resume
Tap Resume on the paused bar. You must be clocked in first. If another customer's box is still running, the app asks you to pause that one before resuming.
Someone else's box
If a teammate started the box, scanning it shows who started it and their minutes so far. Tap Take over to continue it as yours; their minutes are kept. This needs signal.
End of day
When you tap End Shift with a box still running, pick Pause for tomorrow, Not done, put it back, or It's done, mark clean.
