How do visit checklists work?
For field crews · Updated October 26, 2026
Use this when an event step on your phone shows a Checklist.
What a checklist is
Your office can attach a checklist to a Visit Progress step. Only the crew assigned to the event can check items, and only on the current step. Checklists on earlier steps lock.
Required items
Items marked Required block moving on. While any are left, the checklist shows Complete required items before advancing, and the app tells you how many required items are left. Tap Go back and finish them. This holds even if you try to skip ahead several steps.
Working the items
- Tap a plain item to check it off.
- For an acknowledgement, read it and tap I understand. It then shows Acknowledged.
- Photo items show Waiting for a photo and a count such as 1 of 2. Tap Take photo; the item ticks once the photos reach the office.
- Items marked Waiting for inventory tick on their own once the contents work is logged.
- If a photo or inventory item cannot be done, tap Mark Complete, type why in Reason (required), and tap Confirm. The office sees your reason.
While driving
When the phone senses you are driving, the checklist is read-only and shows Pull over to update.
Taking a vehicle
If your company turns on vehicle checks, heading out to an event asks Taking a vehicle?: tap Check out a vehicle or Not taking a vehicle. When a vehicle is required and nobody on the event has one checked out, A vehicle is required to head out asks you to check one out, or pick a reason such as Walking distance / already on site or Personal vehicle (not in fleet) and tap Continue without a vehicle.
